On Friday, we didn't get to go bowling during camp like we usually do. So, instead, we had a talent show, which was AWESOME. The kids were so funny!!! I taught one really funny kid from the hip hop room a cool hat trick to do in his Michael Jackson dance (he brought a costume and everything) and one of my favorite girls did a ribbon dance. Oh, and this super cute (and weird) little girl sang to Miley Cyrus. Right on. It was fun. And then, after that, we had ice cream sundaes... and then cream the counselor.
Now, this week, Miss Tracey decided that because not all the kids had been able to cream the counselor, that we would make enough pies for every one of them to pie the counselor of their choice. I know, crazy right? I personally thought it defeated the whole purpose of allowing kids to cream the counselor for good behavior, but maybe that was just because I didn't want to get pied (I got pied last week, btw, by a girl that really wanted to choose someone else but was told by that counselor that she couldnt). Luckily, I only got pied by 2 kids, but I also got one of the few pies with chocolate in it, which is impossible to get out! I got to laugh at the counselors who got 9 kids to pie them. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Then, after camp, our POC threw us a bowling party, and i got 3 strikes! WOOT WOOT!!! After that, we got ready for the return of Jen and Amanda from Madrid. Holli had this whole scheme and got Brian to move his mattress into her room so that they could have a sleepover (which was apparently what Jen had wanted to do). And when she got back, Jen found out that her room key wasn't working and she didn't want to walk all the way to the front desk, so Holli said she could just stay with us. And that is how we got a new roomate (she is still living with us now). Actually, every night since Friday has been a sleepover night. Jon moved his mattress in Holli's room as well, and 6 people have been sleeping in there (Jen, Holli, Jon, Brian, Kate, and Amanda). I was invited, but I stuck to my own bed for 2 reasons: 1. I value my sleep and 2. I don't sleep well with others....(meaning I kick and snore). So basically I have about 5 more roommates than usual. It's pretty awesome.
Saturday was beach day, and then we went to Miss Tracey's for a BBQ where everyone got oober drunk (besides me and Kate). Then we went out in Rota and got back around 2:30 ish. Holli told me that I was "buzzed" but I was like "No I'm not! I only had one shot!" (Honey rum is delicious btw). But then I thought about it and realized I might have been, especially when I felt started to feel a little sick. So, apparently, one shot is my limit. How lame is that???
Sunday, we went to the beach again, and then we went to the bullfight in Puerto. It was pretty cool. It got a little repetitive when they were taunting and killing 6 bulls in a row, but it was a cultural experience i guess. It was interesting to see how cocky those bullfighters acted.... until the bull charged them when they didn't have their cape thing and they high-tailed it out of there.
Monday camp went well. I got most of my favorite kids back, and got a few that are really sweet. I am back with Kate, which is what matters the most. We went rock climbing (I didn't drop any kids this time!!!) and saw the movie "Imagine That," which I thought was really cute, but the kids got really bored (and loud). Then 2 kids got in a fight over a quarter, and one started BAWLING. It was kinda cute. Then I took the quarter and said I would put it in lost and found, and that solved the problem.... sort of.
Tomorrow is pool day. Woohoo! And I have to be packed by wednesday, and I haven't even started......
It was really good to talk to you today. Don't forget to take pictures of your room and whatever else you're supposed to take for your homework assignment. Only 5 days, 4 hours, and 20 minutes before we see you!!!
