Wow.  So I haven't written in a while.  (I've been busy.....sleeping).

My birthday went well.  The kids (Kate organized it) decorated the room and each of them gave me a card.  I didn't really know what to do.  It was good, I guess, but I didn't really want them to make a big deal out of my birthday.   They never listen.  Anywho, then the staff at the SAC gave me flowers and chocolate and a card, then all the counselors (mainly Kate again) got me a yummy chocolate cake that we ate on our breaks at camp.  Apparently Kate had bought the cake when I went grocery shopping with her, but I didn't even notice.  Ha!

Since it's been so long, I don't really remember much of what happened last week at camp, except that our Wednesday field trip was to Chiqui Park (which is my favorite field trip spot).  I hit kids with balls in the ball pit, and then I played soccer with them on the soccer court.  It was me and my team vs. Ms. Tracey's team and despite the many injuries, it was really fun.

Oh, and as my first programming week, I'd say it went pretty well.  We could have done better activities while the other groups were at the library, but whatevs.  My club went VERY well.  The kids absolutely LOVED it.  It was mystery club, and we played Who Am I? (the game where you tape a card to a kids back and they have to guess what's on it by asking yes or no questions), Midnight Mafia, Human Clue, and Minefield (there's a grid on the ground and the kids have to get through it without triggering the "alarm").  I take credit for the Who am I? and Human Clue games, but the other two were actually thought up by Amanda on the spot because I had actually fallen asleep the night before, so I didn't have time to prepare for my programming..... woops....  I had back-up plans though, but her ideas were definitely better!

On Friday I didn't get creamed (YAY!).  And then after camp, we all went to a BBQ that was put on by a parent of two of the boys at camp.  It was for all the counselors, and it was kinda funny because we have a BBQ every Friday for lunch, too.  And poor Jon had to make the hamburgers and hot dogs at both of them!  But it was pretty cool, cuz i got to beat some of the kids at guitar hero.

Saturday morning, I got a very rude knock on my door at 8 IN THE MORNING.  I rolled over and figured if they really wanted me to get up, they would knock again.  They did.  So I got up and Kate says "Jenn's asleep and she was going to go with me and parents today.  So do you want to go to Ronda with us?" and I was like "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... yeah?"  And she goes "You have ten minutes to get ready."  Then I said "Dude, move" and pushed her out of the way so I could get to the bathroom.  (Hey, I was still half-asleep).  Anywho, so I met her parents, and me, her, and Holli got driven to Ronda by them.  It was OOOOOOBER nice (and so were they).  I loved Ronda!  I was sooooo pretty!  It was up in the hills, and the views were AWESOME.  I did a bunch of shopping there, and we had a blast.
