So, we did end up going out friday night (even though the partiers kind of all left without us..... good riddance.....). It was just six of us: me, Holli, Jenn, Kate, Amanda, and Brian. Kate is the one in the picture above, and like I said before, she is my partner for camp. Anyways, we were walking for a long time before we found a good bar (although when we did, we were like "Duh. So this is downtown"). They ordered a pitcher of sangria, but I honestly couldn't drink any of it because it was NASTY. Okay, so it wasn't that bad. But it was strong, and the bartenders didn't mix it well and didn't put any fruit in it (which I hear makes it better). We stayed out for only about 2 hours before we went back (stopping for gelato along the way hahaha), but it was still fun.

On Saturday, Holli woke me up at 9:30 (how rude!) and then I went back to sleep and then I woke up at 11 so we could go to the beach. We (me, Holli, Kate, Jenn, Amanda, and Lauren) probably got to the beach around 1 ish, and it was PACKED!!! All you could see were beach umbrellas and TONS of little kids running around. It was suuuuper hot, too, but the water was pretty cold. Around 2 ish, me and Lauren got hungry, so we went into town (and had absolutely no idea where to go). Eventually, we found a little pizzeria and got a pizza there to bring back to the beach. The lady was really nice even though our spanish sucked.

We left the beach around 6 ish (yes, we were there for 5 hours) and went to find a restaurant to eat at. Unfortunately, it was still siesta, though, so we had trouble finding an open place. We finally found this random little restaurant and ate there. I didn't know what to order (the waiter was trying to help) so I ordered what he said was fried squid. Well, it was fried squid. Fried baby squid. The picture is of my lovely meal, of all the baby squid. They all still had eyes. They were nasty-looking. But yes, I did try them, and I actually really liked them (once I got over how they looked). I was very proud of myself! (And no, mom and dad, I am NOT lying. I really did try them, and I really did eat almost the whole thing.) Just next time I think I will stick with chicken. It's a safer choice, I think.

Oh, and about the beach, I promise you I put sunscreen on..... apparently, I just didn't put it on well. I have the weirdest tan EVER (although it isn't a tan just yet...). I have finger marks on my back where I put sunscreen, and I have polka dots on my stomach where there was sand. It is very very sexy, I assure you. And yes, mom, I am glad you made me take aloe.

OH!!!!! And I am sooooooooo pissed because apparently, yesterday, everyone met HINDER!!!!! Can you believe it!?!?!?! The lifeguards met them at the pool and got pics and autographs, and then all the partiers met the guy who drove Hinder from the airport or something, so they got to meet them and were planning on going partying with them later that night!!!! (which they actually didn't get to do. HA!)

But the concert is tonight, and I am super excited just to hear them in concert (although it would be nice if I could meet them too.....)

Oh, and this morning, I finally went shopping for realsies!!! I got juice and ketchup and snapple and chicken nuggets and ketchup and bowls and laundry detergent and ketchup and easy mac and yogurt and, of course, the most important item- ketchup. It was heinz if you were wondering. And all that was under 60 dollars (which I was grateful for since that's all the cash I had with me). I was so excited that I kind of forgot we would have to carry all of that home.... not to mention I had bought 3 big bottles of soda for the BBQ today. So, basically, I was going to die. (Lauren was with me btw). Then (LUCKILY) we saw the POC, Mary Ann, who happens to be super nice, and she offered us a ride back and I was like YES!!!! When she dropped us off, we had like 20 feet to go and one flight of stairs, but by the time we got to our rooms, I seriously couldn't move my fingers. I so would have died if she hadn't taken us back, so thank you Mary Ann!!!

And that was my day so far. First day of camp tomorrow, wish me luck!!!
